The Grand Canyon is more than just a great big hole in the ground. Much more. It's one of the souvenir wonders of the world.

Perfectly fine

It's very hot in Arizona in the summertime, so I recommend going for a nice cool dip in the hotel swimming pool.

Let's face it, you don't want to hike down into the canyon. It's a long, hot walk. I recommend the guided tour in a nice air conditioned bus.

I also highly recommend stopping in Williams, Arizona, Gateway to the Grand Canyon. Any place that is most famous for being the gateway to somewhere else is sure to be fun. We had dinner at Rod's Steak House and took pictures with the large ceramic cow out front.
